Kung Pao Chicken Salad with Sichuan Dressing

A kung pao chicken inspired salad with a tasty, spicy, creamy dressing with Sichuan Chinese flavors, including Sichuan peppercorns.
Summer is that the season for salads, and if you’re starting a salad, tomato and cucumber salad with ranch or salad dressing, etc., do that salad inspired by the flavors of your favorite Chinese takeaway, kung pao chicken. The salad itself is sort of simple with lettuce (I sometimes prefer to use kale), chicken, peppers, cucumbers, carrots, green onions, and peanuts, but it is the tasty dressing that basically makes this salad shine! The Sichuan-inspired dressing starts with the same old suspicions, including rice vinegar, oil, soy sauce, garlic, ginger, and a bit of vegetable oil for that incredible aroma. the most focus of the dressing is in fact Sichuan Pepper Oil, which is an oil infused with chili peppers and Sichuan peppercorns, where the chili peppers provide the spicy heat and also the Sichuan peppercorns add their distinctive mouthwash effect, in addition to an incredible aroma (you should be able to find Sichuan peppercorns in your local Asian foodstuff otherwise you can get them organized online or simply skip it). ) The dressing is finished with a bit of sesame paste or paste which makes it nice and thick and creamy! after you combine the tasty and spicy dressing with the fresh and crunchy salad its sort of a magical symphony of flavors and textures in your mouth! Next time you crave kung pao chicken, do this salad; it’s lighter, healthier, and may be made in mere 15 minutes!
Note The recipe because it is written gives a rather spicy dressing, so if you do not just like the heat, it’s perfect for you! If you prefer spicy things, add the maximum amount of sambal or sriracha oil as you prefer (I add a lot!).
